What would be your response if you are asked about your missed targets and achievements at your deathbed?
When devil of death occurs, the thought process reverses upside down and all worldly achievements don’t seem valuable as once they were. The soul camouflages all the mind and that is the time of reality check and the real SWOT of life. People often get immersed in the maze of introspection about their good and bad of life and the main focus is on what we missed in life.
thegoodread.quora.com shared a story of a palliative nurse who conducted the same survey in which she recorded the most common regrets of life and the most common was, ” I wish i had not worked so hard”. It was quite annihilating for me and i wanted to delve deep into it. What must have led them to think that their hard work was more than it should have been and due to which they missed the essence of life. The other regrets included, ” I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.”, “I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.”, “I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.”. The nurse who conducted this survey is Australian and is penning her experience and explorations down on her blog named, ” Inspiration and chai”, and later she came up with her book containing her observations named : “The Top Five Regrets of Dying”.
The first observation which hit my mind was that no wonder that after the game the king and the pawn go into same box. All these regrets were revolving around the missing element of life. Everybody, regardless of the color, caste and creed was ending with almost same regrets. After so much of advancement in meditation and yoga and soul pleasing adventures, we are still on the same end, still missing the essence of life. Whereas the expected regrets which hit my mind were bungee jumping or any adventurous dream one could not fulfill, but here quite shockingly i found that we still are on the same stand where we are loving things and using people instead of loving people and using things. Valuing relations and relishing moments is still put at back burner where it comes to doing an overtime. Who could ever know that this overtime would be the biggest regret of life later at the time of reality check.
Now the question here arises that what exactly is the essence of life and how we can make our near death regrets better?
To find the answer, let’s scroll back to the authenticity of the quote naming human being a social animal. No matter how highly tech savvy you are, no wonder how many books have you read, no matter how many movies have you seen, there would be no pleasure if you wont be able to share the stories to people whom you want to. Don’t you think that this mounting need of social interaction is the reasons of these mushrooming social networking sites? People want to communicate, but technology is making it virtual. No one bothers to walk a few steps and meet their neighbor and there these social networking sites and smartphones are doing the needful. But have you ever pondered or weighed it seriously where this is leading us towards? The blatant void feel which we feel at our last moments of life.
I am not saying that social networking should be banned, but the lack of expression and feelings in real which is on extinct should be worked upon before it vanishes in totality. Many efforts are in process to bring the humanity back to basics, its time for the clock to turn anti clockwise as history has to repeat itself before these regrets overcome our consciousness. The reason behind expecting the bungee jumping sort of thing a miss was the adventure we seek in group of our lovable, which makes life worth living.
One thing is for sure, the question remains same, but the answer varies according to the situation i.e. living and running for life right now and counting your last breathes. I admit that life is tough living with regrets, but regrets make death a hell too.

India, is known to be the biggest democratic country with a constitution to boast about. The gallant celebration of 26th january speaks about the glorification of our law. We say that exceptions are always there but it seems like that we are getting only exceptions in our judiciary basket which is adding nothing but shame and question marks on law makers and juidiciary system.
We have been hearing and reading that our constitution endorses equality for everyone. No one is greater under the roof of law. All these talks in textbooks suddenly hit me hard and made me feel like that they were all barks and no bites when i read that Sanjay Dutt, even after committing a crime was not punished and why it was taking so long to get him behind the bars. Before we judge anything let’s have a look at what Indian Express published, “Assault rifles, pistols and hand grenades were brought from Pakistan and several young men were also taken to Pakistan and given arms training, police officers linked to the investigation recalled after this week’s Supreme Court verdict in the 20-year-old case. The arms landed at two places in Raigad district and one in Gujarat. The Gujarat consignment was hidden in the cavity of a vehicle and brought to Mumbai by road, driven by Abu Salem, who went on to become a prominent gangster. Salem and his accomplices needed a quiet place to open the welded cavity and remove the arsenal. The office of Magnum Productions, owned by Hanif Kadawala and Sameer Hingora, on Linking Road in Bandra, was chosen. Dawood Ibrahim’s brother Anees called Hingora and Kadawala and told them to allow Salem to use their compound. The partners, however, were involved in a dispute with their landlord and did not want to risk catching his attention and suggested using actor Sanjay Dutt’s house instead. Dutt was contacted and he agreed.”
The other day when this file was reopened recently and the case was buzzing again after the long span of 20 years, i read another article on daily schedule of Sanjay Dutt in prison. How the Gandhigiri hero on screen will be getting up and spending his life in jail. The entire description was shouting for the scaricity which our reel life hero would be undergoing through. Words begged of sympathies which raised a question in my mind: Being an on screen hero can make a person not just celebrity but an epitome of God here in India, thus sympathies and support is like a cake walk.
I want to ask a question to all those who are supporting the bail for our Sanju baba, What actually makes him different ? His stardom? or his humanity which he might have developed later? Or is it politics and politicians who are either so blindefolded by the stardom like the other Indians? Recently Mamta Bannerji supported Sanjay by saying that has father Sunil Dutt been alive, he would have left no stone unturned to save his son. Well that’s obvious as being a father, he would have been blindfolded by emotions, but what Mamta didi promoted was being blind-fooled by onscreen stardom of Sanjay Dutt. On this i would like to say that above all, he is an indian citizen and Indians are forgetting that.
Let me remind you, that our Sanju Baba belongs from the same industry which boasts about inculcating values in people by bringing up the real burning issues. Jolly LLB has been the recent example of it. Sanjay can escape and postpone his punishment and might even get a bail easily, reasons pertaining to the power play of politics and the mighty money miracles. So just worshipping herogiri is not the sole reason for the delay in delievering the justice.
Mahatma Gandhi ( i am quoting him as Sanjay himself is known a reel life follower of Gandhi giri) once said, that the doer and supporter of violence, both are equally responsible in any wrongdoings they execute. If we are sympathizing on the grounds of humanity which Sanjay Dutt might have developed then why Afzal Guru and Azmal Kasab were punished? (though those also took long time which has been mockery on our judicial system) Why not those were given a second chance to be human when both Sanjay and these terrorist did the same thing of killing innocent people? The loophole actually lies in the toothless tiger law which was made at the time of independece and has not been mended accordingly with time.
So here in my opinion, even after just being the provider of the safe place for weapons, our so called on screen follower of Gandhi Giri should be punished. What more are we waiting for, isn’t it already too late? or we expecting our next generations to keep on debating about it?

During the years just after Independence heads were full of dreams of a strong India-a India strong industrially, able to stand with its head held high among the nations of the world and to this end the whole nation pushed forward with great zeal and began the reconstruction of a nation, with able guidance and proper infrastructure we have reached a much safer ground but still even in such a critical matter of infrastructure our nation is divided into two the urban India( the one which has the capacity to enjoy luxury goods people who can afford to travel in high-end automobiles live a American dream) and then there’s the rural India ( the one where still people walk around on dirt tracks which become muddy ponds during monsoons, the one which hasn’t even felt a touch of development, there are still no roads, no electricity, no water supply in short no infrastructure).
The new economic policies aimed at stepping up economic growth, improving market efficiency and competitiveness, and integrating the Indian economy with global markets have already placed a heavy demand on all types of urban infrastructure services. The resulting bottlenecks are beginning to pose serious impediments to enhancing productivity. Urban infrastructure includes water supply and sanitation which are important basic needs for improvement of the quality of life and enhancement of the productive efficiency of citizens. There has been a steady increase in the urban population on account of rapid industrialization, natural growth and migration from rural areas. This has prompted the working out of alternative ways of meeting the increasing transport demand given the constraints of land and capital, and the need to control energy consumption, pollution and accidents. Whereas on the other hand farmers still commit suicides, there’s no authority, no administration in the diverse regions, the woods are still home ground for insurgents, the poor are supressed more and no action can be taken there always is some glitch in allotments for such regions. Agriculture is still dependent on monsoons no proper irrigation facility has been developed, frequent floods wipe out villages, takes over farmland, poverty prevails.
Still rural infrastructure hasn’t received the piece of cake meant for it which surely shows the negligence amongst the policymakers and clearly marks the bifurcation between those who still travel the way they have always done : in bullock carts and their better halves: the Cadillac driving fast paced.
The need of the hour is a sustained development ,improving all sectors covering both the rural and urban regions , management of resources and their allocation to the places in need and adding on to what already is developed , putting up hydel power projects and the same time utilising it for developing areas which have been unnoticed and hence left untouched if such steps are taken then there will be a boom in the Indian infrastructure leading to an era of growth and security which will be taken forward by a whole new young generation.
The importance of infrastructure for sustained economic development is well recognized. High transactions costs arising from inadequate and inefficient infrastructure can prevent the economy from realizing its full growth potential regardless of the progress on other fronts. Physical infrastructure covering transportation, power and communication through its backward and forward linkages facilitates growth; social infrastructure including water supply, sanitation, sewage disposal, education and health, which are in the nature of primary services, has a direct impact on the quality of life. The visible signs of shortfalls in capacity and inefficiencies include increasingly congested roads, power failures; long-waiting lists for installation of telephones and a shortage of drinking water illustrate the widening gap between demand and supply of infrastructure.
After all both Bullock carts and Cadillacs create variety but why not feel both rather than being just satisfied with what you got??

The Delhi Sustainable Development Summit was organized by The Energy and Resources Institute in Delhi from January 31st to February 2nd. The theme for this year’s summit was “The Global Challenge of Resource Efficient growth and Development”. The summit has been organized every year for the past 13 years by TERI ever since its inception in 2000. It is a stage to discuss issues related to resource efficiency, sustainable development, climate change, production of clean energy, adverse effects of reckless development and how to create a better and human friendly environment by getting rid of the excesses emitted out through our industries.
The summit was attended by various leaders, policy makers, leading industrialists and CEOs. Ex- Soviet President Gorbachev, Former Guyanese President Mr.Bharrat Jagdeo, Lord John Prescott of UK, The respective Presidents of the Asian Development Bank, African Development Bank, and Inter-American Development Bank – Mr. Haruhiko Kuroda, Mr. Donald Kaberuka and Mr. Luis Alberto Moreno, were but The theme of this year’s summit goes to the root of the problems faced globally, that of ensuring development and growth while at the same time keeping in check the adverse effects caused to the environment by the same.
Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh inaugurated the Summit and during his time at the stage he emphasized on the protection of environment as it equally belongs to each individual and all have the same right to a healthy surrounding around them. He also added that transparent and accountable regulatory regimes are necessary to promote a balance between the environmental and economic agendas currently competing for attention.
Mr. Singh also acknowledged that the growth and development agendas could be short-circuited by disappearing natural resources. Growing populations, changing consumption patterns and the consequent pressure on precious natural resources are real challenges that we face in our pursuit of economic growth and the amelioration of poverty. This will demand re-engineering our economies in ways that are both frugal and innovative in their use of scarce resources.
Mr.Montek Singh Ahluwalia stressed upon the fact that the question of sustainability has come to the center of all programs as it is of the utmost importance. “We will have to pay for sustainability. It isn’t going to happen just by talking about it,” said Montek Singh Ahluwalia, the Planning Commission Deputy Chairman.
Salman Khurshid the External Affairs Minister praised the summit and said not everything on sustainable development happens at Davos. A large part of it happens here in Delhi.

Kamal Hassan has created a great popcorn time controversy with Vishwaroopam

Today a teacher in Agra posted an offensive cartoon about the highest respected authorities of India on facebook

The only all girls band of Kashmir(Pragaash) quits after a fatwa is issued against them.

What is common in the above 3 news? One is South India, another is almost central India, next is the North most part of the country. One is about a movie, another is about politics, next is the religious sentiments row. But one thing which relates them all is the deprivation of “right to freedom of speech”.

What is happening in India? Everyone in the name of freedom of speech is posting whatever they wish on the social media. You’re condemning the government, who is all the way busy to do your work? You’re hurting people’s sentiments? Does freedom of speech mean that you can say anything which comes to your mind? Has the activists made your speech free, so that you can blabber bad things about people? Does freedom of speech means you can abuse the people higher to you?

The answer lies in, we all are experimenting with freedom of speech.

Yes! It does. What the hell do you do with the freedom of speech, if you can’t use it against those in power? You don’t need a right to praise people, you’d need it only when you need to condemn something, to change the evil orthodox system. The situation in speech-India today has become like Talibani Afganistan.

Ban movie, ban songs, ban facebook, ban twitter, ban cartoons, ban cartoonists, ban girls band, ban books…phew! We Indians have apparently become BCs banning everything (BC means ban-cackles, its better to clarify ) and have reached in BC (before Christ).

While people like Praveen Togadia and Akabaruddin Owaisi glorifying communal killings are roaming around freely and people doing harmless posts on social networking sites unsatisfied with those ruling us, those who are wasting the tax money paid by them (I so hardly tried use a more respectful word but could not find any more useful word than ‘waste’) are getting arrested.

So here are the dos and donts, I figured out from recent happenings, if you don’t want to go to jail-

You can encourage 100s in front of you to kill crores of Hindus or Muslims (killing jains or Sikhs in some cases but that won’t gain you popularity).

You must not question any political “bandh”, even when it means loss in business or maybe life (medical stores also remain closed during “bandhs”)

You must not protest peacefully against anything you can’t stand, let it be rape, molestation, corruption, scams, security or whatever, otherwise get ready to feel the Delhi Police Thunder and blunder.

Post only shAyris on your social networking profiles (oh yeah! Bollywood gossip can also do).

Do not expect too much from MMS and abuse it (I meant multimedia messaging service, aits better to clarify )

Follow Indian culture, respect each and every individual, no matter a murderer or a terrorist. Denote them with prefixes like ‘shri’ and suffixes like ‘ji’ (remember I said repect “individual”, you can blame a “social group” running terror camps).

Don’t abuse for anything against their “sons” (as a matter of fact son-in-laws are already included).

Maybe one day they would be coming to us and say that you have said enough, we are banning words now (Oh wait! We can still converse through gestures, ban sign language too). It is said that dictators when come to power seize the “freedom of speech” first of all, this might undoubtedly be the starting of another emergency in India.

As an Indian and as a human being I strongly condemn the act of arrest of people over social networking posts, let it be words or pictures, I condemn the unnecessary outrage and ban over Vishwaroopam and other movies like that, I condemn ban on the entry of salman rushdie in his own country and above all I strongly condemn the fatwa against the girls band. In this era of political correctness, I clearly say I condemn your these actions government, arrest me if you want.

” Speak Softly, Argue Hard!” (Better to clarify)

I know that he needs no introduction but for the unaware slot, he is known to be the greatest detective in the world. Nothing can stop him, nothing can hide from his sharp observance, and he was the most perfect reasoning machine the world has ever seen. His methods are pertinacious, so once he moved to the land of great mystery and rich history, India. He wanted to challenge his mind limits and thus I assisted him in his royal job. It all began that summer morning. I went to his place and it was as untidy as I remember earlier.

“We need to move Billy, get your things packed”, he said.

“Which means we have a case out of the town sir!!”

“Yes! We’re going to that place called Indian TV soap operas, this rich lady which calls herself Sandhya has got some situation there”

“Really? How to you know, she is a rich lady?”

“She had that royalty in her voice and from over the phone, I could listen to all the ornaments tingles, she was constantly moving the receiver, from which I figured out she was wearing some designer uncomfortable dress. From the background I could listen to 3 pressure cookers whistling, means she’s makes more than 2 dishes at one time, which only rich people do. What sounds fishy to me is, she wasn’t ordering any servant to do any job, why? We need to go there and find out”

I’ve always admired him for this quality, from a single conversation over phone; he said that much about our client. We then left to India but what we saw there wasn’t what we expected. As we reach Mrs. Sandhaya’s place, we were welcomed by an elderly lady, somewhat 50 years old, she had 3 or 4 necklaces, at least 50 gms each earrings and that designer dress, which made me realize she was getting ready to go somewhere.

“We need to meet Mrs. Sandhya mam, she told me over phone that her husband is missing since past 3 days”.

“ji kahiye! Mai hu sandhyA, are you Mr. Holmes?”

“jay kon hai bindani? Tu angrezi jaan k parAye mardo se baat karne lagi hai?” it was the elderly lady’s turn.

“she’s not a Rajasthani, her language says it all, maybe she’s fooling everyone after she plotted a very smart plan to get her own son kidnapped, trying to be Rajasthani, so that everyone believes her” Holmes whispered to me. As Mrs. Sandhya finished explaining her mother-in-law the situation, the elderly lady made several faces and left the room and Mrs. Sandhya to us.

“So Mam! What exactly you were doing as we came?”

“I was cooking in the kitchen, left the daal uncooked over there”

“she is lying Billy, she has not got a single stain over her saaree, the kitchen has no a.c. and she has no single drop of sweat over her body in Indian summer, I’m sure she’s the one who is a liar” deduced Holmes. Before I could estimate the situation, there came in about 5-6 people, who were all well dressed and white gloves in their hands, headed by a half bald elderly guy. Another man who seemed 2nd most senior shouted, “dekhiye! Please cooperate kijiye.. hum CID se hai”. Holmes explained me the meaning later from his dictionary.

“The case is already with us, you can’t interfere with my progress in the current scenario. It’s a closed door” I tried explaining.

“Door? Hahhahhhaaaaahaha!!”( I din’t know why the hulkiest guy laughed listening to the word door.)

“Does that guy bother, sir?” I asked Holmes and before he could answer another beautiful women entered the room.

“look at her Billy, neatly tied designer sari, eyes on with mascara, eye shadow, makeup, heavy ornaments and well done hair; must be back from a wedding and as soon as she entered there was a horrifying background music, which tells me, she is having someone else in her gang, who is doing it for her and wants to scare us off. My question is why would she do it?” Holmes claimed.

“Where are you coming from, mam?” I inquired.

“What do you mean coming? I was sleeping in my room” the woman exclaimed and Sherlock gave me that house-of-liars look. Meanwhile CID kept collecting some i-don’t-know-why evidences; we were trying to make sense out of the situation as CID denied any if the evidences to Holmes claiming Dr. Salunkhe has best equipped labs and better techniques than Holmes. We almost gave up when Mrs. Sandhya came as the life savior. I can never forget that moment when she entered the house with her injured husband and shouted at a volume which can give anyone the heart attack “ruk jaaiye inspector saahab!”.

“Somebody tell her, there is no inspector, we’re detectives for heaven’s sake”

“giraftaar kar lijiye iss aurat ko” she said pointing to the another beautiful make-up woman.

“Do we look like slaves? Or does she look like a high ranked officer? Why is she ordering me?”

“yehi hai wo jisne mere pati ko kidnap karne ki saazish kit hi”.

The elderly guy from the CID team looked very happy, I can never forget the look in his eyes and initially I thought he was explaining Fleming left hand rule “tumne apne swarth k liye 1 haste khelte parivar ki khushiyaa barbaad ki?? Jaao ab to tumhe phaasi hi hogi phaasi”.

“Are you kidding me? You’ll hang her for kidnapping? And how in the world do you even know that she is the one responsible for your husband’s bad shape?”

“kyuki mai ek bhartiya naari hu, shakti ka roop hu, ek suhaagan se uska suhaag chin-na iss daayan k bas me nahi”.

Sherlock was failed that day, all his logics, reasoning and observations were turned down by the people of that parallel universe called “Indian Tv Serial world”, in fact the make-up lady accepted the alleged blame and CID hanged her before Kasab could be hanged.

? Lemony Snicket, The Blank Book

Well why not! After all a crime is crime, especially when it’s world known Nirbhaya case.

On 26th January Republic Day, while watching parade and demonstration of power by India, my dad said that Indian Republic Day parade is our pride since ages as it’s a grandeur every time. Impressed I posted a captivating photo along with a proud quote as compliment and tribute to our Indian constitution. Somewhere heart of the hearts it clicked that whether I was sure that I should really salute my constitution without cross checking. Little did I know that this inkling would be vouch proofed soon and our laws would prove nothing less than a remaining toothless tiger!

Welcome to the world of Indian laws, where the sixth culprit named Muhammad Afroz (Raju) is instantly and easily forgiven by law. Raju who is a minor and has 6 (can we call it bare 6 months?) more months to attain that so called ‘juvenile’ status, is actually not forgiven completely but he is punished imprisonment of three years. Now our logical juvenile law speaks of minor committing any crime, be it murder or rapes, is just a matter of doing it under influence. So another favor has been added to grace our law system by providing him the freedom of getting the bail after the charge sheet is filed. After all our juvenile law says that minor aged criminals need to be reformed not punished. So here I am saying to all minors of nation, who even fantasized about committing crimes, Go on! Go Wild! Law is with you, don’t worry.

Very few of us are aware of the actual incident where it was reported that among these six barbarians (Sorry, I can’t called them human or animals, as I don’t want to disgrace any species, so invented this new one) there was one who raped her twice, once after she got unconscious and then pulled out her intestine and only 5% of her intestine remained in her body and the suggested to throw her out of running bus. And this is not his first crime, he was caught red handed earlier in Amritsar waiting for someone to get 2kgo of heroine delivered to him.

Now there are two questions which come into scene: How to reform such a juvenile who is not just a culprit but is psychopath too? An imprisonment of three years is enough to REFORM this minor? Or his mother who is refraining to disclose any details about his age or her own marriage date, will she be able to ever make him realize what he has done by shielding his age like this? Doesn’t she know that teaching the criminal living in denial is the biggest crime committed? Just six months (or be it a day) are enough to escape of being punished for the most monstrous crime?

I will better call him a major pre-mature perverted adult! Yes not at all a minor.

There were 346 criminal cases register under Lucknow juvenile court among them 35 were rape cases. Now the rape rate of minor criminals has shot up with 35% more and the graph is rising higher. It is notable that Ajmal Kasab, too tried to fake his age to make an easy escape.

‘Culprit is culprit and crime is crime’

Don’t you think that Juvenile laws need to be mended soon and seriousness of crime not age should be the factor to deliver justice?

Happy republic day to the largest and the most efficient (At least on papers or the way it’s known or projected to the world) republic of the world!

It’s republic day again and just like independence day every other radio station has gone magically patriotic, every news channel has turned into a big revolutionary front like they do for every Nirbhaya or Prince case (actually that’s a good thing but we all know where did the revolution go in less than one and half month, so don’t think I need to question the seriousness, they are pretty serious about their TRPs).

Swami Vivekananda often insisted the role of youth in a Nation, so we should have a look on how the ‘youth’ of the nation celebrates this day. The facebookers and tweeple are celebrating the republic day with full enthusiasm, they’ve changed their profile pictures to “Tiranga”, and most are so concerned about the nirbhaya case that they won’t celebrate this republic, so they are not changing their profile pictures to “Tiranga”. So we are also witnessing the black republic day on facebook.

While his highness Excellency shri David Headly ji (I’m sorry, I don’t want to go to jail, so I’ll respect everybody from now on) is spared from death sentence, after plotting the graph of 170 lives here, we celebrate Race2 trending on twitter. India is a country where RSS is supposed to be running terror camps and LeT’s chief is given enough respect with prefix like shri and suffix sahib, Laden’s religious sentiments are respected and Anna Hazare is called a thug.

Anyway we were talking about the “mango people of banana republic” celebrating the republic day (credits due~jamai saa shri Robert Vadra ji). So while most of the non-Delhi ‘youth’ go to watch Race 2 and aakash-vani, the south Indian ‘youth’ (yes! We still discriminate) are blabbering on social media about the ban on vishwaroopam. Few ‘youths’ are angry about “apple” losing its most luxurious (or something like that) company tag and are outraging on facebook, after all twitter and facebook are the medium to express our concerns, a platform to raise our voice against whatever we don’t like. Obviously putting a “happy republic day” status, is the most trendy thing today. Some people also discuss about padma awards, while lance Naik Hemraj and Sudhakar Singh’s family still wondering whether they are going to get even any compensation.

Let us have a look on the trends on twitter today as it is:

#Jlf

happy republic day

padma bhushan

jai hind

rahul bhatt

rajpath

#race 2

vande mataram

#india

andy murray

Media is a kind of mirror of the society and they are also celebrating the republic day being the most patriotic society in the world. While they are giving a live telecast of the republic day parade, a small strip at the bottom reads the news of a 22 year old gang-raped by eight in Aurangabad, what the hell! Screwing the luxury of the parade! I keep wondering, whether there would be a single day in India which would be crimeless, fearless, terror less? Can’t we have a single flawless day? On this day they also promise to show an exclusive show analyzing 2014 elections, which would be a face-off for Modi and Rahul Ji.

The country without a doubt has a shining future, with terrorists living, a ‘barfi’ leading the country, media persons blackmailing, dozens of Nirbhayas living under constant ‘bhay’, i-phone vs android and beiber vs almost everyone remaining the top topics for murdering each other mentally and the ‘youth’ of India running an online revolution.

Long live india!

Long live the banana republic! Jai Hind!

Yes, because we are witnessing the beginning and the end at the same time. The beginnings of corruption, terrorism (believe me this is just the trailer) and of course who can forget the hot potato ‘Rapes’. Shouldn’t we feel happy that there is lot to come? The icing on the cake is the rising horizon of budding modern love era and simultaneously we witness the doom of that sweet old love. If you don’t believe then let’s read this casual yet insightful conversation between Modern Love and Sweet Old Love.

Scene Set up: Both Modern Love (ML) & Sweet Old Love (SOL) are all set into their couch with popcorns to share and switching channels on Television.

ML: Heyi Mahn. Let’s play something mouth watering, spicy thing. What the hell are you watching this crappy…DDLJ, huh. Why don’t just feast our eyeballs?

SOL: This is one of the epitomes of true love. Love, which is sweet & mesmerizing. J You should give it a whirl.

ML: Love? Oh you mean love which is sultry & meaty? I am totally jealous with the words you use to describe. But believe me mahhn, you just can’t camouflage the steamy reality of love.

SOL: You don’t even have a slightest idea, what love was like in my times. When I was the king, love used to be distance yet most alive, truthful and respectful.

ML: Ok, here comes the toss! Let’s explain love in our words.

SOL: Done! J Here is your move. Go ahead!

ML: For me Love is ………making love. I mean everyone would agree. I have seen it in real. Love is feeling the flush and flushing that feel out as soon as possible. Love is hanging out at the most expensive malls, boozing, dancing and then again ‘bliss in the bed’:P this actually is the crux of my definition of love. Believe me, it’s the ultimate bliss. Being in relationship is another name of enjoying the bliss in bed every possible day.

SOL: This is what draws the line bro. Love is lust, love is money, love is bliss in bed for you but I have seen love as the most enchanting and beautiful feel which gives strength.

ML: strength .. as in ?

SOL: strength to withstand the storms and upheavals of life with a smile on face. strength of faith, strength of trust, strength of sacrifice, strength of honesty, strength of truth, strength of loyalty.

ML: Heyi, that’s cheating! You are misguiding me with words which I never heard of. Faith, trust, sacrifice, honesty, truth & loyalty? Which is your latest sensual read these days? I also want to learn these words.

SOL: I know, you do. All you know is strength of loss, jealousy, selfishness, lies and cheating.

ML: But this is what love is. Isn’t it?

SOL: The strength which you know has all side effects. But my definition doesn’t.

ML: Side Effects? As in?

SOL: Acid attacks, domestic violence, partner swapping & even rapes (marital forced ones) in name of love are the severe side effects of your type of love. And to learn my vocab, you need to go to the flashback.

ML: Oh buddy! It’s getting too baffling. Let’s stick to the one word for your love. What one word you would use for love. And make me understand through that.

SOL: Well! My Love was life, and today’s love is lifeless.
